Golf Orbit Overview

  • Developer: TapNation
  • Released: 2018
  • Technology: HTML5
  • Platform: Browser (desktop, mobile, tablet)

Golf Orbit is a distance golf game built around one big idea: hit the ball so hard that it leaves the course behind. There are no holes to sink and no par to beat. Every swing is about how far the ball can travel, past cities and mountains and, with enough power, out into space.

Each shot comes down to timing. A power arrow swings back and forth, and stopping it in the green zone gives you the cleanest, strongest hit. Miss the window and the ball drops short. Nail it and you can watch it sail off the screen.

Golf Orbit gameplay

The distance you cover earns coins, and coins go into three upgrades. Strength makes your golfer hit harder, Speed makes the ball fly faster, and Bounce keeps it skipping forward after it lands. Small upgrades add up quickly, and before long a shot that once landed near the tee is clearing whole landscapes.

As your shots get longer, the game moves you from Earth to new planets, each with its own look and its own distance goals. That sense of travel is what gives Golf Orbit its name and keeps every new record feeling like a trip somewhere new.

Golf Orbit was first released for mobile by TapNation in 2018 and is just as easy to pick up in a browser. If you enjoy Golf Hit, it is a natural next game: the same timing-based swing and the same upgrade loop, with a bigger focus on reaching space.
